The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation named Deaf Services Unlimited a finalist in the 2025 Citizens Awards, a long-standing program that honors businesses for their leadership in solving the world’s biggest challenges. DSU was nominated for the Best Corporate Steward: Small and Middle-Market Business for its efforts to bridge the gap between Deaf and hearing communities with access services including post-production overlay accessibility.
In a recent statement, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation said, “Deaf Services Unlimited (DSU) is a woman-owned agency that connects Deaf and hearing communities through American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation and real-time captioning services. Founded by a hearing child of Deaf parents (CODA), DSU operates nationwide to make conversations between Deaf and hearing individuals accessible. The company is revolutionizing access in the digital age by adding ASL interpretation and captions to existing videos and content, ensuring communication access for everyone, everywhere.”
This prestigious program recognizes the most innovative and impactful initiatives that leverage a company’s talent, resources, and expertise to improve communities.
When asked about this recognition, Deaf Services Unlimited’s Owner and President, Tiffany Wilber, stated “This national recognition celebrates companies that use their business as a force for good, and it’s truly an honor to be listed alongside organizations like Chick-fil-a, Hy-Vee, FedEx, Liberty Mutual, and others leading the way in corporate citizenship. Being recognized at this level is a testament to the impact we’re making through our commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and the Deaf community.”
