Review of Service Request Process
Proactive inclusion fosters value, reactive compliance fosters judgement.
Always be prepared to be accessible. The best outcomes happen for your Deaf community when preparations are thorough and seamless. A solid understanding of the service request process is key. DSU is committed to helping you follow accommodations procedures for your workplace.
In the event of a client needing accessibility services in the form of ASL interpreting via on-site or remote services, or CART captioning services, a well-defined process should be in place in your office. This simple process takes the guessing game out of accessibility for your team.
Once your request makes it to us, a DSU Coordinator will secure a provider and manage the appointment schedule based on information collected. Having accurate and complete information in advance is so important. This helps ensure that all parties are in sync throughout the entire service timeline. Communication is key to superior service and satisfied customers.
A simple breakdown of The Request Lifecycle at DSU looks like this:
- Request Submitted
- Request Processing
- Request Coordination
- Request Confirmation
- Request Fulfilled
- Request Invoiced
